Line is a Tokyo based messaging platform which uses end to end encryption. The App is popular in East Asia.
In July 2019 Line partnered with fact checking organizations in Taiwan to launch the Line Fact Checker which allows users to forward a message to assess if it is true or not instantly. The fact checker analyzes the contents of the message across a database of already identified misinformation if the content doesn't match with anything in the database the program provides similar topics online.[1]
