In 2018, the Prime Minister Charles Michel announced a "fact checking fund" of 1.5 million euros to be given to fact-checking initiatives. However the government collapsed before this was voted upon.[1] In one particular instance, the Belgian government supports multilateral action to counter Russian disinformation.[2]
